Alex was doing this activity for the second time and he loved it again. I have edited photos of Angelina Jolie, Ellen DeGeneres, Mark Zuckerberg and Beyonce and asked Alex to draw other sides of faces. You can see results in the photo.
Please download printable below, do the activity with your kids and share results with hashtag #mirrorcelebrity
I am sure it will be fun to look at

  • Have anyone else’s children tried to give themselves a fabulous hair cut but ended with bald patches here and there? Not yet. Well, count yourself lucky! Cutting hair can be fun, but this activity helps kids to master their scissor skills while keeping all their own hair on their head. This simple activity also allows for children to practice focusing and precision, and most importantly saving you from a trip to the hairdressers.

⭕ MATERIALS:
- Paper plate
- Thick marker
- Thin pen
- Scissors

⭕ INSTRUCTIONS:
(1) Using your thick marker, draw fun and silly face on the back of the paper plate.
(2) With the thin pen, draw an outline of their head around the face (making sure not to go too close to the edge). Then draw some hair around the edge of the plate.
(3) Going back in with the thick marker, draw lines to indicate where you want the hair to be cut. These lines can be diagonal, zigzag, curved or any way you like.
(4) With the scissors cut out the shoulders and/or any part of the head that is not the hair
(5) Let your child use the scissors to give the face a nice, new hairdo.

  • We are trying to make our walks a bit more adventurous. As we can
  • This breathtaking experiment is easy to do at home with your family. Just spread food colouring on the bottom of a tea candle, light it and place it at the centre of a plate with water. Cover the candle with a jar or a vase for the more dramatic result. Use a larger jar to make sure more water gets sucked into it

  • Do you teach your kids to brush their teeth BEFORE or AFTER breakfast? The question might sound a bit silly as the answer is so apparent. But is it really? If children brush teeth before breakfast, they clear bacteria before fueling them with their food. Besides, food could stay on teeth until lunch or even longer. On the other side, if children brush teeth after breakfast, they will have clean teeth until they have the next meal. In this case, toothpaste might not impact how breakfast tastes, but some active bacteria might. So when do you think is the right time to brush teeth?

  • As a wise robot once said: “Bleep...Bloop”, which simply translates to ‘Snip snip...scissors beats paper’. This fun robot activity helps children to practice cutting along the lines and while switching directions. The skills used for this task are essential for those needed to complete everyday tasks. So, whether you have your very own robot for daily chores or not, this activity is will help guide the way. You never know, maybe one day your child could be using these to build their very own robot!

⭕ MATERIALS:
- Paper / card
- Marker
- Stickers (here we have used robot stickers)
- Scissors

⭕ INSTRUCTIONS:
(1) Cut strips of card or paper, big enough for your child to hold.
(2) Using one strip of paper, place a sticker at the top of one side.
(3) Draw dashed lines using the pen. For beginners, draw a straight line from the sticker to the bottom of the paper. To adapt this, you can draw lines that curve or zigzag.
(4) Taking your scissors, place another small sticker (we used a robots arm) on top of the straight blade. When you begin cutting it should look like your scissors are trying to catch the sticker at the end of the line.
(5) Now let your children use the scissors to catch the robot!
