  • Little Alex is exploring a magnetic field. He could not stop laughing every time he picked up a bunch of paperclips in the air. This simple science experiment takes no time to set up, but there is something very addictive about it

  • My little bookworm recently discovered a new passion - writing. After reading incredible stories written by great authors, Alex decided to create his own masterpiece. So much so, he takes his notebook to our walks and spends every spare moment scribbling something there. And I can tell you now he is already better in writing than I am. Very proud of my boy!

  • This walking water science experiment is a fun and easy way to engage children to learn. It shows them how capillary action works and the results are immediate. It’s such a fun way to teach kids STEAM, and with Valentine’s day coming up, why not make it a heart-shaped experiment. Grow LOVE of science with this colourful and fun experiment.

⭕ MATERIALS:⠀
- 10 glasses
- Food colouring
- Paper towels
- Water

⭕ INSTRUCTIONS:⠀
(1) Place five glasses of water and add food colouring
(2) Next to each glass of coloured water place an empty glass⠀
(3) Fold paper towels a few times and tear in the middle to make small rectangles
(4) Place one end of each paper towel rectangles in a glass with coloured water and another end into an empty glass.
(5) Make sure all of the glasses are joined and watch as the water walks from one glass to another and makes a beautiful coloured heart shape.

⭕ SCIENCE EXPLANATION
Have you ever thought about how water travels inside plants from roots all the way to the leaves? It is possible because of a process called capillary action. And this is what we see in this experiment too. Water is travelling through small air gaps inside paper towels that act like tubes connecting our glasses and mixing our colours.
